The McLaren GT is arguably the strongest value proposition in the modern McLaren market. The GT's 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 produces 612 horsepower, sending power through McLaren's 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Underneath is the carbon fibre MonoCell II-T monocoque, adaptive suspension with Proactive Damping Control and carbon ceramic brakes. The result is still every bit a McLaren, with a mid-engine layout, carbon tub and serious performance, but in a considerably more usable package.

That usability is what separates the GT from most cars at this level. It offers 150 litres of storage in the front and another 420 litres beneath the rear glass, along with a more refined cabin, better visibility and the ability to actually put kilometres on the car comfortably.

More importantly, the GT has become one of the most interesting buys in the used McLaren market. It is the most accessible way into the newer 4.0L McLaren powertrain, while benefiting from the improved construction, refinement and overall build quality of McLaren's later-generation cars. Rather than buying an older 3.8L car simply to reach the McLaren badge at a similar price point, the GT gives you a 2023 model with the newer engine architecture, modernized platform and considerably more everyday usability.
