The 2022 Volvo XC60 B6 Inscription 2.0L I4 Turbocharged DOHC 16V LEV3-SULEV30 AWD combines Scandinavian luxury design, e-charger mild-hybrid technology, and comprehensive standard winter safety for Canadian drivers.
Mechanical and Performance: Mild-Hybrid Output Meets All-Weather Traction

Under the hood sits a 2.0L Direct-Injected 4-Cylinder engine equipped with both a turbocharger and an electric supercharger, integrated with a 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain. The B6 setup generates 295 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, routed through a smooth 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. Engineered for Canadian road conditions, Volvo's standard Instant Traction All-Wheel Drive (AWD) works alongside a Drive Mode Selector (including Off-Road mode) and Hill Descent Control. The 48V system recovers braking energy to assist acceleration and power electrical systems, resulting in seamless stop-start operations and strong low-end torque.
Safety Systems: Advanced IntelliSafe Active Driver Protection

Safety remains central to the XC60 with Volvo's IntelliSafe active safety suite. Standard protective features include City Safety Collision Avoidance with Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Large Animal Detection, Run-off Road Mitigation, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, and Lane Keeping Aid. Everyday driving peace of mind is further reinforced by Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Steer Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Autobrake, Pilot Assist (semi-autonomous driving with Adaptive Cruise Control), and a 360-degree Surround View Camera.
Technology and Connectivity: Google Built-in Infotainment Suite

Inside the cabin, the updated Google built-in infotainment system features an 9-inch vertical touchscreen display with native Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play Store. Full smartphone compatibility is supported via standard Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth hands-free streaming. Operational convenience is enhanced by a 12.3-inch Digital Driver Display, a wireless smartphone charging pad, keyless entry with hands-free power tailgate, and a Harman Kardon® Premium Sound System.
Design and Interior: Inscription Luxury and Cold-Weather Readiness

The exterior Inscription trim is distinguished by chrome front grille accents, bright side moldings, 19-inch 10-spoke black diamond-cut alloy wheels, full LED headlights with Active Bending Lights ("Thor's Hammer" DLRs), and a panoramic power moonroof. Inside, the cabin features Perforated Nappa Leather seating surfaces, front seats with 10-way power adjustment, memory, power cushion extensions, and ventilation. Purpose-built for Canadian winters, the interior comes fully equipped with multi-stage heated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, heated windshield washer nozzles, and 4-Zone Electronic Climate Control.
